The Space Program
Summary
The Space Program coins their organization as the "premier Hip Hop movement in high education". They've been booked at Columbia Univeristy, teaching conferences, Big 12 BSA Conference, law offices and more. We created both a website for their content as well as an online store using Shopify.
Client Overview
The Space Program is a Hip Hop collective that tours different universities and institutions across America to talk about the black male experience at predominantly white institutions and the role that Hip Hop plays in that dynamic.
The Problem
The Space Program had a clear vision on what they were looking for from their website. A sign-up form, an about us page that would allow visitors to learn the backstory of the collective, pages for their music and video content, and finally a shop they can sell merch on.
The Solution
Since building their community was their biggest website priority, we added the sign-up form at the bottom of every page in addition to linking the main call-to-action button to it. We created a timeline component on their home page that gave the group a chance to talk about their story. For their shop, we ended up using Shopify. We hosted their shop on Shopify because they were using a dropshipping company to handle their product distribution that has a direct plug-in for Shopify where information can seamlessly be transferred.
